尖端武器工程师彭森与女友作家林琪相爱多年，然而在两人即将订婚时，林琪却突然留下了一封分手信后不告而别。从种种反常迹象表明，林琪的离去是场阴谋。彭森发现林琪与一个神秘男人去了国外的一个神秘事件频发的三不管地区百慕镇，很多去过那里探秘的人都失踪或者精神失常了，但彭森坚持就算再危险他也要找回他的未婚妻。彭森在寻找林琪的过程中，结识了要去百慕镇探险的户外探险主播胡月和她的摄影尼坤，三人一拍即合踏上了去往百慕镇的探秘寻人之路。 当他们到达百慕镇后，各种神秘诡异的事件也接踵而至，有生命体特征的植物、变异的不死人、具有神秘力量可操控人心智的锥还体、能够使人穿梭平行世界的太极鱼石... ...然而，这些事件与彭森似乎有着某种关联。种种迹象表明彭森找到的林琪并非原来的林琪，随着彭森对扑朔迷离的事件背后调查的逐步深入，真相一点一点被揭开，秘密却越来越深。 彭森发觉身边潜...。影片讲述了两位当代中国女性面对社会固存的规训与传统观念，寻求自我突破、独立与成长的故事。 女书是一千多年来在女子间秘密相传的文字，一代代的女性在这种独一无二的文字中，获得了彼此的情谊与相互支持的力量。片中女性皆因与女书结缘而展开了新的生活命运。胡欣是江永女书最年轻的传承人之一，经历一段婚姻的结束之后，她在“传统女性”和“现代女性”之间左冲右突；而思慕是一位都市女性，自学成为一名女书艺术家。思慕在开明的家庭氛围中长大，这会让她在爱情、生活的现实考量，以及自我的热爱与追求之间，如何取舍又何去何从？最终影片的两位主人公在女书的启示下，在各自人生的重要关口，努力成长为更好的自己。。Disarmingly realistic in its depiction of the realities of frontier life, Heartland is a strong antidote to the cliches of traditional Westerns. This semi-documentary slice of life is based on the diaries of Elmore Randall Stewart about her days on the Wyoming frontier in the early 20th century. It's a strongly feminist statement about a woman raising her small daughter alone and scrapping for a living by working for a shy Scottish rancher. Director Richard Pearce brings an endearing touch to a film that is helped greatly by the dazzling cinematography of Fred Murphy. Conchata Ferrell and Rip Torn star in this small film that substitutes veracity for a high-powered plot. Pearce worked as a cinematographer on Woodstock and other documentaries before making his directorial debut. Winner of the 1980 Berlin Golden Bear at the Berlin Film Festival。
